Raul M.

Raul works in Mexico City making his handblown glass creations along with silver pieces. He
learned his craft from his mother when he was only 7 and has been working on it ever since.
Raul never married and has been taking care of his mom since he was young. He has had the
opportunity to travel to show his craft and has been recognized various times for his art and has
won several awards for his work.
He loves what he does and he is very detail oriented. The materials he uses are becoming
harder to find as that art form isn’t as prevalent anymore, and at times it has taken him up to 8
months to get his materials. The detail oriented work has taken a toll on his sight, but he
continues to work as he is passionate about his art.
