  • Minca, Colombia. Our local guide introduced us to one of his friends, Miguel, a local organic coffee farmer, and his family on our hike down. He showed us how the coffee is grown, how the beans roasted, and how they use native predatory insects as a form of natural insect repellent. This was the first time Miguel's family got a family photograph taken.

They started playing a game similar to the “London Bridge Is Falling Down.” Long delays are common due to detailed searches going through customs. This is the standard practice for residents and visitors alike who are coming and going to and from Colombia.
